While a bit of anxiety is good to get you going, too much will have you procrastinating for days and long-term anxiety can have devastating effects on your health and relationships.
But what is anxiety? The proper definition is; “Intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Identified by a “fast heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating and feeling tired.” This sounds simple enough, yet many are suffering with anxiety-related concerns for years without ever seeking help. Why is this? Could it be that the fear of being labelled as ‘sick’ is keeping you from asking for help? Is this fair? Surely if you are struggling to see without glasses, we will not be having the discussing of whether you are ‘near-sighted enough’ for the glasses, simply not having 20-20 vision is enough reason to get those glasses. Why do we judge ourselves for needing a bit of help to cope with the increasing speed at which we function?
